This newly built vacation home located in Wolf Laurel, NC, boasts a stunning view of the Western North Carolina Mountains along the Blue Ridge Parkway.  The home owners contacted The Drapery Company needing custom window treatments and blinds. They had already begun filling their home with beautiful oriental rugs and furniture pieces, many hand crafted by local artisans to give the home a mountain retreat feel. When we saw the spacious windows in each room and the home’s overall design potential, we were so excited about transforming it into a warm and luxurious mountain retreat.

After interviewing the owners and seeing what they had already acquired for their home, it became obvious that the owners style leaned more toward the traditional. With that in mind, we decided to keep the traditional flavor throughout the home while bringing in a classy, mountain lodge look whenever possible without going too far in that direction. This way, the owners would gain a sense of mountain adventure when they came to rest and recuperate on the weekends without losing their love of comfort and familiarity that they have, over the years, come to expect.

This was a home that was fun to do from start to finish. Not only were the owners wonderful to work with, but the home was almost an empty canvass when we began and to see the layers of color, texture and design come together was pure joy!
